George Rumball, the new owner of Kall Kwik Bishopsgate and the youngest centre director in the company’s network, has brought the superbrand brand back to the City. He has invested over £10K in signage and digital equipment since buying the Gravel Lane based design and print business three months ago.
The centre had been operated by its previous owners as an unbranded stationery store. George could see its huge potential and the opportunity to provide the full range of Kall Kwik’s services to businesses in the City of London. The premises now sport the iconic Kall Kwik branding and the business has been re-named Kall Kwik City with George’s father Simon Rumball as print manager.
George learned about the brand and its commercial potential while working as account manager for Kall Kwik in St James almost ten years ago after beginning his career on the production side with JP Morgan. From there he progressed his print sales and marketing experience with Inc Direct and then DST customer comms, which was bought out by Paragon to form Paragon customer comms.
"I have always been ambitious and love selling. Print is in my blood – from the early days of working in the JP Morgan print room to trailblazing personalisation of print at Inc Direct. I have always hit my targets and enjoy networking – so setting up my own business was the logical next step."
The 29-year-old had kept in touch with the owner of Kall Kwik St James, so when he heard that the centre was on the market he jumped at the chance.
"It is such a great location with premises just around the corner from Liverpool Street. It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to be able to inject a new lease of life into the centre and bring the full range of Kall Kwik services to local businesses."
"Kall Kwik has reached an exciting phase in its 40-year life as a new generation of owners begin to join the network. Such is the strength of the market-leading brand that most of these new owners have had first hand experience of Kall Kwik, either as past or present employees, suppliers or family members and wanted to be part of our continuing success. George was an outstanding member of the Kall Kwik St James’ team and I am sure he will be an outstanding centre owner as he follows his ambitious business plan. We wish him every success and welcome him to the Kall Kwik family."
