Chord/Note Transposition Wheel

Never get the wrong chord or note again when transposing, print out this wheel (Instructions below), turn to the transposed note and read off all the other transpositions.

Instructions

1. Copy the above image to your computer by clicking on the image with your right mouse button and Save Picture As wheel.bmp

2. Load your favorite desk top publisher or art package

3. Load in wheel.bmp and print out two copies the same size, ideal size about 50mm but it can be bigger.

4. If you can laminate the two wheels or paste onto some thick card.

5. Cut one of the wheels on the outside ring or simply as a square (The large wheel)

6. Cut the other wheel around the inner circle above the red notes.

7. Cut a small hole in the middle of both and fasten together using a single paper tag.

8. The finished product will look like the image above apart from the fact the inner wheel can be turned.

How to use

1. Take the first note or chord and rotate the inner wheel until the desired note or chord is adjacent to it.

2. The wheel is now set, do not move it again until you have finished, look for your next note/chord and read off the transposition.
