A Week in France

"Opening The Door To Songwriting" 6 - 12th June 2004 at "La Jeusseliniere" the home of Martyn Wydham-Read in Northern France. The course is designed to suit all levels of aspiring songwriters, it promises to be a dynamic, inspirational and fun filled week. It will be designed to meet each students individual needs but I will cover all the essentials, understanding lyrics, composition and accompaniment. For guitarists there will be an opportunity to explore playing and writing in DADGAD and Dropped D tuning. Unfortunately, to ensure the quality of tuition, it will be restricted to 10 students. Arts and crafts facilities are available at La Jeusseliniere for wives and partners to accompany students, with emphasis on making it an enjoyable, relaxing holiday musical experience. Martyn's farmhouse is situated in the Mayenne area, a very beautiful and interesting part of France. These weeks are quite exceptional, they're a real experience and highly recommended.

Scotland


Folk at the "The Castle" at Benmore Botanic Gardens in Ayrshire, Scotland on the 20th, 21st &22nd August 2004. This is a fantastic venue and an outstanding value for money all inclusive weekend, which will include Song Writing, Guitar, Fiddle and Whistle workshops. There will be ample opportunity for students to join in informal sing arounds, play there own music and make new friends and contacts. Final details have yet to be confirmed.
