My comments
I first attended June 2004 (4th,5th,6th), pitched my tent on the camping field, met some friends from the Folk 'n' Fun weekend, the weekend was off to a good start. The Friday evening session started at 8.00pm in the cow house which the Wilkinson family had made into an ampi theatre and at one end there is a well stocked bar, two Real Ales, Lager, Guinness, Cider, Tea or Coffee, soft drinks and sandwiches. The session was well attended, some excellent music and singing. novices and professionals being given the same ovation, the official sing around lasted about 4 hours and went round once, after which the unofficial singing and music continued for some of us until day break. This is how folk singing should be done, an excellent evening with a good mix of accompanied and un-accompanied singing. The standard was set for the rest of the weekend, which it lived up to, I'm hooked.
