Development

The vast data-base for this franchise was developed in Ireland and Glycar Computing was asked to re-write the system in 1995 and to add a Wedding day chart for probably the second most important day in people's lives, increasing the massive sales potential of this franchise. As well as updating the data-base and supplying the franchisees monthly, Glycar have not been idle and since 1995 have added the ability to produce charts for new born babies, charts for inside greeting cards, a personalised greeting card system which can produce any type of greeting card, a personalised letter from Father Christmas, a lucky key ring system and the ability to produce luxury business cards.

Simple to use and work

The system is simple to use and will take most people only a few minutes to become proficient, it is a computer based system where computer knowledge is not required and probably the hardest part is setting up and assembling the five parts of the computer. Working the franchise is also very simple and needs no complicated franchise manual the 'How To' bible like the majority of the franchises. Full support is provided by Glycar throughout the franchise period.

Full or Part Time

The Day You Were Born franchise is ideal for either full or part time working so if you are thinking of leaving your job and starting a franchise The Day You Were Born can be started on a part time basis, reducing your risk and building the franchise until you must work full time at the franchise, you can of course employ or use agents within your exclusive franchise area, freeing your time for other pursuits.

Exclusive Area

Your exclusive retail area is negotiated at the start of the franchise and will take into account your ability to service the area, it usually includes a City and depends upon how many systems you intend to use within the area. The exclusive area is for direct selling only and does not restrict the use of mail order or internet sales, you therefore have a exclusive face to face selling area but can also sell to the world through the internet.

How Much is The Day You Were Born franchise.

The price of this easily worked franchise is only £5,995 inclusive and this includes everything, the whole system, exhibition stand, laminator, blank products, advertising posters and of course the unique software. If you already have a computer system and the hardware necessary we also sell the franchise without the hardware (Computer, Printer, Stand etc) for £3,500, this is the complete franchise including franchise area, software and blank products.

Royalties

As with all franchises there is a monthly royalty payment which includes monthly updates of the data, support and yearly new products and this can be paid in several ways to suit you.

Monthly £50 per month

Save money and make budgeting easier by paying in advance with your initial fee ie. £3,500 (No Hardware) initial cost plus one of the options below, after which you can pay the same again for the next years or revert to £50 a month. The franchise agreement is for 10 years after which the contract is renewable free of charge, which means that you have a high earning business for as long as you like and you can sell or transfer your business when you retire etc. Non payment of the royalties due, will signify to us that you have stopped the business and therefore your franchise area will become available again, you are not tied in, the franchise agreement is to prevent software and intellectual theft and to guarantee you have the updates for as long as you require them. We have family and franchisees who would take over as franchisors should anything happen to us to guarantee you the updates for your contract period and beyond.

Two years in advance with the initial fee £1,000 initial fee = (£5,995+£1,000=£6,995) or (£3,500+£1,000=£4,500)

Five years in advance with the initial fee £2,000 initial fee = (£5,995+£2,000=£7,995) or (£3,500+£2,000=£5,500) (About £3 a day)

Lease (Sotware option, no hardware)

Rather than getting a loan and to free up your capital to help develop your business why not consider our lease method, the lease is for a 5 year contract after which you can apply free of charge for a standard contract paying the standard £50 a month royalties.

The lease is just £125 a month, the first 5 months (£500) being payable in advance.

Compare our prices to other franchises, we are selling you a unique high profit business which is not available on every street and you will have exclusive rights to sell 'Face to Face' within your own area, unrestricted selling by mail order or internet, retail or corporate, we offer help and advice but do not demand to see your accounts and this business will only be available to our franchisees.

As with all businesses you will have to build up your goodwill, each product you sell will in time bring in more business and in two or three years time your 'Goodwill' will be worth more than the business therefore you have an investment.
